Oregon is a glorious place to host a wedding. You can choose from lush forests, high desert, ocean, mountains, and cities. And what's more is that each type of location is just hours from Portland International Airport. Whether you call yourself an Oregonian, or you're traveling from far away with family and friends, we've put together a definitive guide of our top picks for wedding venues. A Beautiful Union is a wedding videography studio based here in Oregon, and our team of cinematographers is spread out across every major city in the state. Here, you can see our in-depth tour videos of each of our favorite wedding venues (in no particular order)!

The Griffin House

Hood River, Oregon

The Griffin House is a historic venue perched on the cliffs of the Columbia River Gorge in Hood River. Our videography crew always notes the breathtaking views which make for an incredible backdrop in your wedding video and photos. You can learn more about them on their website: The Griffin House

The Evergreen

Portland, Oregon

The Evergreen is a beautifully renovated loft space located on the East side of Portland. One of our favorite features of The Evergreen is that it's located upstairs from a beer hall where guests can meander down to for late night drinks and afterparties. Find out more about The Evergreen on their website: The Evergreen

The Barn at Countryside

Aurora, Oregon

The Barn at Countryside is a modern country venue that offers couples extra flexibility to choose caterers and food trucks. The interior space is one of the largest we've ever seen, and it's just steps from a lawn with sweeping views of the surrounding valley and of Mt. Hood. Portland, Oregon

Castaway is a top urban location located on the West side of Portland. It features plenty of natural light, exposed beams and brick, and a beautiful surrounding neighborhood. You can learn more about Castaway Portland on their website: Castaway Portland

Painted Hills

Central Oregon

As an elopement or micro-wedding destination, we consider the Painted Hills to be one of the most exotic locations that Oregon has to offer. The video above gives an insider's guide to eloping at the Painted Hills, and you can read about how to obtain a permit and marriage license on our blog here: Get A Marriage License for your Oregon Elopement

The Redd on Salmon Street

Portland, Oregon

The Redd on Salmon Street is by far the largest venue space we've filmed at. It's incredibly central to the Portland area, with beautiful antique machinery contrasted by modern amenities. The parking lot is a big win, especially in such a dense part of town. Learn more about The Redd on Salmon Street on their website: The Redd on Salmon Street

It makes for an ideal destination wedding location, for couples who want scenery and comfort. Learn more about Mt. Pisgah Arboretum on their website: Mt. Pisgah Arboretum

Tin Roof Barn

White Salmon, Washington (right across the bridge from Hood River, OR)

While this venue technically falls on the Washington side of the border, we'll count it as an honorary Oregon venue as it is just up the road from Hood River. This "little venue on the prairie" is an ideal escape from the city for couples who want a rustic style wedding. You can learn more about Tin Roof Barn on their website: Tin Roof Barn

Amaterra Winery

Portland, Oregon

Amaterra Winery is an excellent choice for a vineyard wedding. The distinct modern-brutalist architecture makes for a profound backdrop, and the location is unbelievably central. Amaterra is the only Winery with a vineyard that is located within Portland's city limits. This means your guests won't have to venture far out into the country to get a taste of freshly made pinot. Hood River, Oregon

Columbia Gorge Hotel is one of our absolute favorite locations to film weddings on the Columbia River Gorge.
